Take a look at the images I included. Do you see how those beams are literally sagging into a “V” and falling apart? There’s no way this company didn’t see this issue when they fully replaced our flat & sloped roof. They should have informed of us of the state of the beams that are collapsing when they ripped up the roof to replaced wood. There is absolutely no way they didn’t see it. They promised a project manager would be there with crews every day, there wasn’t. I called them to inform them, they sent someone out, she said she would get us a contractors name to fix it, she never did. Nor did she or the office return my calls. This is a serious issue. It’s a structural issue & it is unacceptable to leave the roof like this when we paid approx $60,000 for this job. My family member is a general contractor, he came to help us and he was furious that they took advantage of us and that they did a poor job of replacing the wood they attached on the top of the roof. My family member said they took advantage of us, especially being women, and distinctive will do it to you too. My GC family member also showed me what a poor job they did replacing wood right above this sagging V of wood planks, making it even more labor intensive and costly to fix. Once they get full payment, don’t expect any help from them about issues they absolutely saw & should have been proactive about in the first place.
Avoid this company (or Sales person) – High-pressure scare tactics and dishonest pricing Do not trust this company (maybe it was just Caesar who quoted me) as I have heard good things about another person (Nils) who is no longer there. Caesar came out to look at my roof, walked on top of the tiles for a few minutes, and quoted me an astronomically high price to repair three areas. He claimed it would be a multi-day effort. Without ever stepping foot inside my attic or doing any actual testing, he claimed the plywood was sagging and that I needed immediate mold restoration for my drywall. He used extreme scare tactics to pressure me into signing a contract on the spot. It was highly obvious that his pricing was inflated simply based on the town I live in, rather than the actual scope of work. Thankfully, I got a second opinion. A reputable contractor actually went into the attic, performed a thorough and detailed investigation, and completed the entire job (one small area in 4 hours) for a fraction of Caesar's quote—complete with a warranty. To make matters worse, Caesar called me back later to see if I was "ready to move forward." When I told him the work was already done properly, for a fraction of the cost, and with a warranty, he couldn’t get off the phone fast enough. Avoid this business at all costs. They rely on fear and zip-code price gouging rather than honest inspections and fair pricing.

The workmanship of Distinctive Roofing is top notch! We selected the larger barrel tiles and just love it! Communication during the entire process is frequent and regular. All the staff are friendly and quick to answer any questions. From start to finish, everything is quick. Any delays encountered are due to waiting for county inspections. Cesar, the owner, was a pleasure to interact with. He personally hand delivered the final documentation showing all the different steps taken along the way such as permits, paid invoices, inspections, etc. One important task that might be easily overlooked or considered is the attention and care given to the home, such as the pool area, surrounding perimeter, window protection, drive way protection, etc. After the tear off is completed, the crew pay careful attention to cleanup of debris. If you consider using Distinctive Roofing, you will be glad you did!
